Atanu is an expert in the field of Energy and Infrastructure with over 30 years of experience in power generation and large electrical systems. He has worked with leading engineering organizations such as Bechtel, L&T, Sargent and Lundy, SK E&C (Korea). He has done his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Regional Institute of Technology (now NIT), Jamshedpur.

He is currently leading the Engineering and Project Management Services at SunAura Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for various solar energy, energy storage, and wind-solar hybrid projects. He brings excellent execution experience of mega projects (Power, Oil & Gas, Airport, Paper), with deep understanding of engineering, inspection and commissioning activities. He is proficient in contract management i.e. design of contracts and Bid documents, designing and implementing QAPs, Performance Testing, and Warranty Management. He brings the Project Management skills i.e. Concept to Commissioning of Power Plants, Project Engineering: basic engineering, detailed engineering, and vendor’s engineering to the team.

More recently, he has led the design and engineering of various rooftop solar PV systems of cumulative capacity of more than 5 MW at different locations and large solar PV power plants of more than 650 MW cumulatively. He led the design and engineering on one of its kind energy storage-solar PV-diesel micro grid project and wind-solar hybrid projects under USAID PACE-D TA Program.

 

He has closely worked with Central and provincial governments in India (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, PSUs( National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), DMRC, IOCL, BHEL, REIL, MPPGCL), as well as countries such as Thailand, Bangladesh, Philippine, USA, Mexico, Netherlands, Kuwait, Vietnam, South Korea, KSA, Jordon, UAE.
